couple things to note about maya:- i think of maya primarily in the dctv universe when writing her main verse. though i am willing to adapt her to any large city/etc that fits to interact with your muse. and while dctv may primarily be where i think of her, i am willing to put her anywhere in the dc universe, comics, films, etc.- this also being said - while she is supposed to be set in the dc/superman universe and all, from the beginning i've also always kind of treated her like a fandomless oc. i've thrown her at many different muses whether they were set in the dc universe or not. so if your muse doesn't have a superhero/dc/marvel/etc verse, do not fret! we can still do all the things and i'll just treat maya like a fandomless oc in a sense. (this also more so applies if your muse's main verse is fandomless, other verses i may try to adapt and make aus if i don't already have them)- while jon, jordan, conner, etc, other kids (other ocs included) of clark/lois&clark are not automatically apart of my canon, i will write against them and will gladly consider them her siblings. whether you want to plot it out or just jump straight into throwing them together.- the closest to a basis/model i have for maya's superhero outfit is conner kent/superboy's, though with several key differences. the red on hers goes all the way through, like where the blue is on his, is red on hers. her outfit doesn't have any of the gold bands or the 'belt'. she wears red cut off gloves instead of what he has, wears a red eye mask instead of the glasses and the symbol on her chest is just simply a black 'b' (in the house of el crest font)

maya eloise kent is the only daughter of clark kent, also known as superman, and lois lane. but when she was only three years old, lois was killed at the hands of lex luthor. this made clark extremely overprotective with maya, not wanting to lose her too. for the first few years of her life, clark was unsure if maya would inherit his superpowers, and as it turned out on her fifth birthday, she did indeed. she has all the same powers as him, but due to being half mortal, she isn’t as indestructible as her father, and is able to be injured more easily. although kryptonite does make her weakened, she’s in as much danger as a normal human when it comes to what can and can’t kill her. she very much wants to help her father fight crime, but due to her mortal side and her mother’s death, her father isn’t too keen on letting her help.…but that doesn’t stop her from sneaking out and fighting crime behind his back, as the masked superhero, the blonde beauty.maya ... is not exactly the most warm and welcoming person. she's very stand offish, doesn't let people in. keeps them at arm's length, and comes off as prickly and a little mean. it's all for good reason, though, in her opinion. she hasn't exactly had the best luck relying on anyone else aside from her father. her father, in an attempt to try to move on after losing her mother, began dating not long after maya's fifth birthday. and the young girl had been wary at first ... and it turns out, she had good reason to be. almost every woman her father dated, ended up eventually turning her back on them. abandoning the little family, not wanting to be parents themselves. or just ... finding a better offer. on top of this, maya's had a few failed friendships and relationships, and all in all ... it's just given her very intense abandonment issues. so she doesn't let anyone, keeps people away as much as she can. she refuses to let herself be hurt again, and the idea of being abandoned again terrifies her.but if maya were to let people in, when she does let people in, one would find she can actually be quite soft. loving, caring, warm. it's just hard to find that side of her with all the walls she's put up, with how carefully she's guarded her heart.maya does consider herself 'broken' in a sense, and she doesn't really believe that she can be fixed. so she stays cynical, doesn't let herself believe in good things, doesn't let herself have any type of hope. she stays angry at the world, lets herself be full of rage. because it's easier that way. it's better that way.she ... isn't exactly a superhero with the best morals either. she'll use fists and violence if she needs to, she won't hesitate to fight back, to hit and beat people up who run their mouths. and she does tend to fancy herself a good party, dabbles in smoking weed and drinking when she can get her hands on it. she, of course, makes sure to keep this all hidden from her father. well, the fights aren't as easy when he has to come pick her up from school, but the rest, he'll never know about.she also is a very passionate artist, she loves to create art, painting and drawing tend to be a coping mechanism for her. a way to put what she feels down on paper, in a sense. and she's quite talented at it, she has big plans to be an artist someday. while continuing to do the whole superhero thing of course.she also does not very much try with school, her grade aren't the best and she spends more time skipping school or sleeping in class than actually attending or applying herself. she isn't stupid by any means, she just, doesn't think she needs to try in school when one doesn't need to be good at math to be an artist.she also doesn't attend college when the time comes and goes on to become a full professional artist, while obviously still doing the superhero thing. her father does eventually find out about her double life - but after enough convincing from maya, with him realizing how long she's been doing it and keeping herself safe, and the fact that well, she's already over eighteen when he finds out ... he allows her to continue it. just, maybe, every once in a while superman is seen covering the blonde beauty's back.

  • famous au.  when she started posting covers on youtube at age eleven, maya never thought she'd actually wind up famous one day. but nowadays nearly everyone knows who maya kent is. she's very much beloved by all her fans, and she loves them just as much, even making a fake fan account (for herself) on tumblr so she can talk to them. maya writes all of her own music, and with sold out concerts, tours and new albums constantly, she's quite busy... as much as she loves her life, and her fans, there's some days that does all get kind of overwhelming.

  • descendants.  maya is the daughter of elsa, her father died when she was very young, so elsa raised her alone, with some help from maya’s extended family, of course. maya is a little different than a typical royal though, rebellious, adventurous, and often getting herself in trouble. she also doesn’t like using the title of “princess”, preferring to be thought of as ‘just maya’. she’s inherited her mother’s ice powers, and she doesn’t use them for ‘evil’… she does tend to use them to maybe occasionally play a prank or two. maya was one of the few people who welcomed the vks with open arms, mostly because she was hoping they were the type of people she could finally get along with.

  • once upon a time.  three years before emma swan gave birth to henry, she and neal had a daughter that they named maya. the first three years of maya’s life, everything was perfectly normal, until of course, emma ended up in jail and neal ran away to canada … taking maya with him. maya is raised for most of her life never knowing the truth about her family, where her father really comes from, who her mother is, where her mother is ... that is until one faithful day when emma swan travels to new york, seeking the son of rumplestiltskin.

  • stranger things.  with a dead mother, a father that's maybe just a little too overprotective, and a heart that's been broken far too many times, maya does her best to get by in the little town known as hawkins. always keeping her distance from everyone, never allowing anyone to get too close. that was until billy hargrove came into town, a complete asshole who stood for everything she hated. someone she trusted about as far as she could throw him. so when she's out one later november night and she notices him running around town, looking for his little stepsister, she makes the decision to quietly, carefully, follow him. not trusting what he's up even for a second... and this proves to maybe be a mistake, it leading her to a group of people involved in something she didn't even think was possible, but weirdly checked out for their weird little town. she always joked hawkins was hell on earth.
